TGS: New Resident Evil 2 trailer

another one that looks rough in screenshots. are they even official screens? or just random captures from the trailer? the noise filter, low sample blur, poor DOF (much like devil may cry) and horrible looking hair just make it look super crummy :/

have the images being scaled up from 1080p by any chance?

either way i'm buying it, but i was hoping for better.

Yes they are, the screencaps from the trailer are here. We never post those within the news page itself.
So if it's not a review, the screens inside a news article are always official/from the publisher.

it looks like it's going to be a different type of RE2, but that's what a remake means.

Pretty smart you are.
I don't know why the developers focus on everything else but especially the hair is a big Problem (Lara Crofts Hair look Better).
And when a Hair is Clipping, that looks so damn awful.

I've seriously never seen realistic hair in a videogame.Tech demos dont count.

and yes. silent hill, MGS, the entire soulsborne series to name a few. japanese games can be amazing, i'm just saying this particular one looks rough IN SCREENSHOTS, because...well, it does!

Not unless they recalled the actual actor and stuck a load of prosthetic make up on him, I doubt it.

This doesn’t use face scanning does it? I thought it was just bog standard facial mo-cap? In which case, regardless of the person who’s face was captured (I know it’s based on an actual actor), the data should be modifiable to fit anyone’s face. Or is this using some LA noire tech? in which case, yes, he’s need to do what you suggested.
