GSY Video PC PS4 Xbox One

It has now become a habit, the PC release of a AAA game has been much talked about, and not in a good way. Those who purchased Dishonored 2 have indeed been having problems with the game, at least for the most part, no matter what graphics options they choose. Arkane Studios are working on a patch, but for now, it's clearly not optimized enough for everyone. Even our GTX 1080 can't maintain a steady 60 fps at 1440p once in the city, which is why the following videos were recorded in 2 different resolutions. Even at 1080p, camera movement is still stuttery, which is obviously quite a disappointment. Let's hope a fix will be found in the upcoming days, so we can show you more of the game. The footage we recorded was captured with all graphics settings maxed out.

DOOM may have been a counterexample, but this tends to prove the "not willing to send the game to reviewers beforehand to make a few sales" theory.

I suspect the switch over from Unreal Engine to the idTech based renderer has caught out the development team.

Just think how many preorders bethesda saved with their new review policy if pc users knew these issues beforehand. That's why i didn't preorder even though im excited for the game, i don't care about playing a day early and i already own dishonored de.

Yet another disappointing port, it's a real shame especially for a game like Dishonored that really needs a fluid 60fps performance. when i saw the system requirements for the game i knew there is something wrong:(

it's most certainly the case here, id Tech engine is only good for one developer team and that team is id Software itself.

I'm playing on ps4 pro and the camera movement feels terrible but if you set controlller friction to 0 at the options menu it gets much better. I think you can do the same for mouse

The ironic think is that the game was kinda designed for pc first. All the demos until launch were pc and i seriously hate how small the text font is. Im skipping reading notes because of that

Seemed to work okay for Machine Games.

Im not a huge fan of multiple games using the same engine even if its a good one. They tend look similar and a lot of times inherent the same issues. I get why they do it though, proprietary tech is not exactly cost effective

I think all big game devs need to make and use their own game engines, like people have said before when devs use the same engine as another their games usually look very similar. I'm glad I did not bother getting this game, I doubt I ever will till they sort it out

Somehow even better than the first game. AMAZING game, runs phenomenally on my PC. Not sure why people are having performance issues. I am running on Ultra, 50-75 fps with a RX-480.

This game is even better than the first one. They didn't change too much; they did it just right. Bigger maps, amazing level design, fun new powers, multiple playstyles, several different endings based on character played and lethality/stealth... I love it so much. Dishonored is back and it's better than ever.

buggier than ever too. it's a great game, but sadly there are some seriously big bugs in the game that ruin it. i've had everything from not being able to save, corrupt saves, loads that constantly cause alerts over thing they have already been alerted too (towers of light) and the mission 5 bug which caused any KO's witches to die...it's been both really fun and really frustrating. which is a shame. it was clearly forced out by shitty bethesda.
