Yeah, Skorge is just freakishly awesome. I can definitely see the significant graphical improvement, just in this video. How flipping cool does Tai Kaliso sound? He's got a hint of Arnie about him.

I reckon Tai Kaliso is going to be the 'deep' aspect of the story - deep thoughts and ideas will be spoken by him, hence his spiritual description. You can already see it with the "everything happens for a reason" comment.
I can already see from cut-scenes we've been shown that Gears of War 2 will actually have a story that matches up to the rest of the game (i.e. it will be deep and meaningful).
lol, another cool vid ended with a cringe worthy performance from dom...hahaha. game looks cool tho, skorge is a bit of a predator rip off, and when i say a bit i mean a LOT...but it seems resistacne 2 has its very own predator rip off as well. i guess the devs of both games had been watching arnie's classic while creating their games this time round...lol

Exactly Epic are all about balls to the walls action, and if you watch any of the greatest action films out there, everyone of them have the same type lines, but when its all put together what's created is so freaking awesome that you can forgive non-Alpachino type performances :)
Why do they even bother with cinematics in this game? I mean, c'mon. Does anyone even care who the f*** <insert stereotypical love interest with Spanish name here> is? And LOL at trying to make the characters seem deep and tragic. Just give me ma' chainsaw mothafu***.
Oh, and I would have liked some more "umph" in terms of graphics. It starting to pale in comparison to Resistance 2.

Anyway, yes people do care about the cinematics. Well, I do anyway. It means I can truly appreciate the great visuals the game has to offer, as well as the improved story.

Ain't that the truth. Jesus Christ... Great job, Epic, turning Dom into a crazy drunk Mexican. He was the coolest guy in the first game, but I just hope he doesn't ruin the whole game this time. Second video where Dom ruins it with some stupidass overacting line at the end. What garbage.

nah. it's dumb, stupid, and annoying. thankfully they are skippable. but it's a real shame we have to miss everything else just to avoid Dom's "new" personality.

Exactly your seeing a 5sec snippets, until you see the whole thing you cant put anything into perspective, anyway those that dont care for a story can skip past it all and just play the sure to be top kick-ass game of 08.

all i know is that doms lines are poorly delivered, cheesy and lack any sort of emotion. when you burst out laughing over a scene that is suposed to be serious it is never a good sign. its like seeing arnie trying to put emotion into a scene with his crazy accent, its just unintentionally hilarious.
i mean, i wanted a deeper more complex plot, but i guess thats an impossibility when your working with characters that probably cant even spell their own name.
