Housemarque is back and those who know the studio won't be surprised to know that their new title is a combination of frenzy shooting and dodging, skills, split second observation and a bit of hair tearing. Nex Machina is a game in which scoring is the main incentive to keep playing, trying to perfect each area to reach the 100% completion rate (which is bound to take a while). There is no story to be found here, the philosophy behind the game is to pay tribute to the old days, back when people used to go to the arcades to try to beat their score. Needless to say that this game is going to put your skills and patience to the test, but it wouldn't be a Housemarque title if it weren't.
lol unshited as online competitive? don't make me laugh. (1 Hour ago)
I liked the first one. The cover system works okay in elimination deathmatch. I'm not a fan of sticky cover as a rule though. Especially now that many games have done contextual auto cover that works. (3 Hours ago)
I guess so? It's been a long time since I played one to be fair (3 Hours ago)
Yea.. that's what Gears of War is. (4 Hours ago)
also GOW looked interesting from some of the competitive matches I saw. But lots of weird sticky cover play (4 Hours ago)
just started playing the Forest today and sunk too much time with my buddy. WOOF that game is fun (5 Hours ago)
New enemy types, namely the Snatchers, Pouncers, and Carriers were aggressively unfun to fight. Still a good game, not a great game by any means. 7/10 (6 Hours ago)
