Yeah there are, but main point being i wouldn't like a future where developers think is normal to ask that amount of money for ingame stuff....ever.
Every thing else about the game is beyond awesome.

Isn't that for folks that don't want to actually earn it naturally? I think it SHOULD be a high price if there's any real money price at all, to keep the high end ships from being too common/easy to acquire.

This is for backers of the game. They choose to pay high prices to support development. You can earn the ships in game. How is this so hard to understand for some people?
There's nothing wrong with it. They support the game and get something in return, maybe with a custom livery or whatever. It's completely up to these people how they want to spend their money.
