Cyberpunk Looks more than good enough to make any "Sony exclusive" look outdated
(i mean, do Games like Last of Us 2 or Ghost of Tsushima Look good? yes, compared to other PS4games... do They Look amazing/breathtaking? ehm no, sorry)
Er, what? Ghost of Tsushima doesn't look breathtaking? I strongly disagree there. Out of all the Sony exclusive games, the likes of TLoU2 and whatnot don't interest me in the slightest. ND games are always an enclosed overrated technical wankfest and little else in between; but GoT, the theme of that game, the setting, how it looks both artistically and technically - it's the best looking thing on that console to date. At least to me it is because I'm a fan of that of that setting.

The press obviously saw the exact same demo, since the "gameplay description videos" on YouTube all describe the exact same sequence of events as seen in the gameplay reveal video. (And no one in the press mentioned a downgrade between the press demo and the public gameplay reveal video.)

But even if the visuals in the press demo should have been different, the gameplay shown here still doesn't hype me. It's a shooter. Period. And there is nothing special about the worldbuilding or the characters, Detroit: Become Human or Deus Ex: Mankind Divided did both a lot better.

In The Witcher 3, you meet five interesting and cleverly written non player characters within the first 15 minutes. In the Cyberpunk 2077 demo, you meet five generic and one-dimensional 1980s action movie stereotypes in the same time. Great.

I agree with William Gibson who twittered "The trailer for Cyberpunk 2077 strikes me as GTA skinned-over with a generic 80s retro-future". In another post, I called the scenery of Night City "the cleanest slum on earth" - Golem City in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided did a better job at showing a cluttered space that seems lived in, and that game is two years old now.
I'm talking tech here. Not content. I know the press saw the "same" demo (with different choices later on and a male protagonist) what I do not believe is that they saw the same demo from a technical standpoint. This demo here shows CLEAR signs of being an ok looking current gen title.

Hell, it's not even the best looking game NOW. it certainly won't be in 2 years time. If this is what the game looked like when the press saw it, then they're fucking tapped in the head.

"next gen" "revolutionary" "unbelievable" are hardly words that should be associated with cyberpunk in the way it is demo's here. It's typical gameplay wrapped in typical visuals. The cyberpunk setting is the only think that stands out about it. Is that all that's required to look "next gen" these days?...I guess so.

Right, I mentioned the content because it was the central point in a couple of media coverages I saw, and I found the content not to be revolutionary at all. So I pointed that out to make clear that I find it even harder to understand why all the media people are hyped that much. (As I wrote, even if the visuals in the demo shown behind closed doors were better, the gameplay doesn't hype me at all. Generic shooter.)

The same applies to the tech, I saw a lot of great looking titles recently - Ghost of Tsushima and Doom Eternal among them - and these really stand out visually.

And as you wrote, there is only one impressive scene in the demo, and then it looks like any other game. Or worse, in most of the scenes - look at the pavement surface and the lighting on the cars between 14:15 and 14:20; these look like they were from a game of 2008. Maybe CDPR released this demo with low-quality visuals because the want to avoid another "downgrade desaster", like they had with The Witcher 3? I asked in a forum at CDPR whether the visuals in the press demo and the public demo were identical, but got no reply.

I repeatedly asked for a comment from the developers in a forum at CDPR on whether the press was shown gameplay with the same visuals as the public. My posts were just deleted by an admin, so I guess we will have to wait until CDPR releases the next gameplay demo for the media to drool on.

TLOU II not breathtaking? Considering that even some people (and a developer too) claimed that the game animations weren't real? Believing that those animations aren't possible in this gen
Cyberpunk looks great yes, but it has a lot of graphics and animations problems, jagged af shadows, horrible aliasing, odd face movements; let's be objective with the analysis

What was most impressive in this demo was the combination of highly detailed immersive rpg which scales up to open world and well integrated cinematic narrative with branching decision making. The individual elements aren't really new, but the way things look to fit together is pretty darn impressive. Visually, I think it can hang with the other games I suspect will eventually end up cross gen, i.e., TLoUs2, GoT, and Death Stranding. It has its own strengths and weaknesses versus those games, but I think they all pushing more geometric detail than some of the current stuff. That is something I noticed on Cyberpunk vs Read Dead 2...I think the latter holds up visually to cyberpunk - the landscapes are spectacular - but it still relies more on texture detail rather than geometry. Cyberpunk is using a lot of geometric detail.

I just watched the gameplay video for Anthem again and in comparison, Cyberpunk 2077 does not look like anything special. Also, I personally did not see any "branching decision making" in the C2077 demo, they have shown nothing but shooting along a linear narrative (they could have at least repeated the same gameplay sequence with different approaches to showcase the amount of player freedom). And the cinematic narrative is also nothing to write home about, it is just alright.

So, to put it short, colour me not impressed! ;)

Ah, so also others have not been so much affected by this gameplay ?¿
I'm not the only one in short.

I was expecting it like bread, I can not deny it, but yes, from the first sight I was not astonished as I thought I would be right away. Nothing new, nothing really fresh, proposed by them. That is, to this day, as it is called Cyberpunk 2077, I would not buy it at all. And so far I was assessing it as one of the pillars of this generation.

It 's all a bit already seen, already... in short, there is something that has really attracted me. But now, many modern games are so... already seen.
We hope for a refinement of the CDProject, which are not completely incapable. Let us also remember that IT WILL BE JUST A HALF-DEVELOPMENT, so they have time.

But, leaving out the graphics, which has time, nothing of this demo really fascinates me.
