Well it won't be long now....................and I'm predicting she'll burn more people than the Mad King ever did before she takes the throne too.

I was wondering when we would get around to Jamie's return to Castle Rock and Edmure Tully's captivity at the Twins. There is so much shit that the HBO series is behind on that it may take them awhile to catch up IF it's their intention to tell the complete story. This also means Lady Stoneheart for those of you in the know

I agree with both your points. Even the latest (sexy) Red Priestess made reference to the Dragon Queen burning all those non believers. I'm not buying Dany being Westeros version of Moises. Now as for "Her"...I would squeal like an 15 year old at an Justin Bieber concert if they reveal her on the HBO series! The internet would literally break down and lose their shit!

So honestly what did you all think of Episode 6, season 6 of Game of Thrones. I have 2 BIG problems:

1. margaery tyrell suddenly aligning with the sparrow - out of nowhere! I just hope this is all a plan to get back at Cercei.

2. Arya simply changing her mind and doing a 180.... effectively rendering all the scenes we've seen her in Stavos USELESS. What was the point? training her?

Only good scene was Drogon's return, and he didn't even look as big as expected. I guess not much time has passed. But I can't wait until those dragons go all-

And weak ass Tommen. I woulda been had Margery out of there, or at the very least made conjugal visits! I'll never forgive Gov. Swan for his treatment of best girl.

Fair points. My one problem with season 6, episode 6 is they devoted way too much time to Sam Tarly's boring story arc. Yes, we already knew his pop was an dick. Yes, we already knew they would find out Gilly was an Wildling. They wasted half the episode all for Sam to get his father's Valyrian sword. The rest of my comments are my theories so I'm gonna spoiler tag them just in case I'm right (brilliant people like me are known to do that).

Now as for King's Landing story arc involving Margery...she's playing them all for fools. Margery already knows she got Tommen's pussy-whipped ass wrapped around her finger. She decided to use the High Sparrow as a means to get revenge on Cersei. Think about it..Margery sat in that cell for months knowing it was Cersei's doing that landed her and her brother there. Not to mention, Margery wants to be THE QUEEN. Now she has the Sparrow and his faith militants as backing. Now as for Arya....I agree 100%. She wasted so much time and sacrificed so much only to "change her mind" at the last minute. Lucky for her, I think Jaqen Hagar is still on her side. I believe when Arya kills Waif (come on, we all know Waif isn't gonna kill Arya) Waif's face will be added to the wall and The faceless men (Jaqen Hagar) will decide the debt is paid. Then he will reveal himself to be her old water dancing teacher, Syrio Forel. She was really being taught all this time.

Now having said all of that....again I must stress, all of it I just pulled out my ass. Those are all guesses, so I didn't spoil a thing, since I have no idea how it's gonna play out.

I loved that Daenerys Drogon scene too, but it could had been better...if she was topless. It would had been like all those awesome Heavy Metal magazine covers I use to read..ok, look at as an child.

Interesting theory you got there.. We will see.

As for Dany's speech and dragon scene... while very cool, I dont understand why they had to put that scene in there in the first place - the only reason being that they wanted to end the episode on something EPIC because they knew the episode sucked.

I will forgive season 6 for such a dud episode because I know there are great things to come especially the battle for Riverun with Jamie and his army, Frey and his army and Brienne all in one place - I miss Brienne/Jamie together.

I don't think Margaery is out of nowhere at all. The previous episode showed in her convo with Laurice that she's really smart and knows what to do with the situation.
Having Jaime leave only sweetens the deal and leaves Cersei open. However whether they can get to Cercei remains to be seen with that monster in the way.

Also I don't really have a huge issue with Arya either. She's struggled with her tasks ever since she sailed into Stavos.
I also think Jaquen knows she's going to murder Waif.
Poisoning such a random character always felt pretty off, and I agree with Loakum, Waif has always been the target.

I'm willing to forgive the arc with Sam because I think we need to see it so we care about what he'll do later.

The final 3 episodes I expect are going to set up to the final battle and final season that'll happen next year. You can already see the stage being set.

I don't think next season is the last. There has been talk of either:

1. Season 7 (10 epiopdes) + Season 8 (6 episodes) = 16
2. Season 7 (6 episodes) + Season 8 (6 episodes) = 12.

Personally I prefer the latter, the less episodes the more quality there is.

The last I heard season 7 will have 7 episodes, and season 8 will just have 6. D&B wanted all 13 episodes for season 7 (aka the final season) but HBO want to stretch it into two seasons instead of one ($$$). They already said after this season there are just 13 episodes left. Of course they could always change their mind and add more, but I think GoT producers are getting burnt out on the show.

The show definately needs to end now because the quality sometimes is dwindling.

Bender recently spoke with Vanity Fair‘s Joanna Robinson and seemingly confirmed the rumor that there are few precious hours left in Westeros. When asked if he would be directing an episode next season, Bender replied:

“I don’t know the answer to that. They’re only doing seven [episodes], and they’ve got their regulars who have done it forever. I know that I had a wonderful experience doing the show and I know that Dan and David are thrilled with the shows… I haven’t been asked yet and I also don’t know what their schedule is going to be. But under the best of circumstances, schedule and everything, I had a great experience doing the show. If available and they wanted me to, I would love to do that.”

Too soon?

Well look at it this way. If Waif fails to kill Arya then Jaqen has a new Waif and a face for the Many Faced God. Problem solved.

Margaery's scheme may not simply be to get back at Cersei, but what better way to punish Cersei than to set up poor deluded Tommen? An alliance between the Crown and the Faithful? HA! I laughed at that shit as soon as I heard it.

It better be good because Episode 7 was another snooooooooooooooooze!

Suffice to say the "What is dead may never die" is clearly the running theme of this season. GoT is too afraid to kill characters now

There's a theory floating that Arya and Waif are the same person...
That perhaps they're dueling personalities and Waif is the personality trying to kill the old Arya and take over

How would that theory even make sense? Like what clues are they basing it off of?

A lot of it is in reference to how Jaquen interacts with both of them separately

Some of it may just be reaching for anything, because even I felt that the stabbing scene with Arya was awkward
Her whole arc has been kind of awkward actually

hmmm...that's an interesting theory. It's like Game of Thrones meets Fight Club (my favorite movie ever!)...do I think it's legit...it's possible, but I doubt it. We'll see next episode. I believe they're trying up all lingering story arc in these last 3 episodes, and paving the way for the end game. I'm gonna miss this show when it ends.....

Anyway, thanx 4 the link. It was an good read! (I'm gonna watch me some Fight Club tonight!) :)

This sort of stuff is where the books would really be superior.

It's a shame that I think fame has sort of ruined Martin's ambition to get the story finished.
I'd rather be reading Arya's arc instead, even though the bit that was covered felt uninteresting as well.

Arya's high point really was her pairing with the Dog, but perhaps that's going to make a return.
I didn't expect him to be alive still, so I'm hopeful that it's on the horizon now
