I haven't played a Spiderman game since Spiderman 2 of Ps2 (yes, a LOT of years and I haven't touched a spiderman game), so this will be so refreshing for me, probably will even influence in my verdict of the game

That's why I hate most open-world games, you just end up doing repetitive and boring side missions with no interest at all. The worst is when you're forced to do those missions to progress in the game. Hopefully the story will be fine.
As for the Batman series, Asylum is a masterpiece and quite revolutionary for the time. City was good but worse in my opinion because they went open world and that ruined the game (a bit, it's still very good). Same with the last one.

There is nothing wrong with following a good formula (although I must admit it is getting boring) and comparing the game to Arkham is a praise in my book. Actually, spidy and his spider sense is a good fit for the counter and strike mechanic in Arkham.

You're bound to hear your PS4 Pro when playing

I thinks there is something wrong with your PS4 pro cause mine never made any abnormal sound during the entire game and I'm at 85% complete ....
