We reviewed Detroit: Become Human

The opening credits still say "written by David Cage" only.
I imagine that's a typical Cage ego thing (we all know how he is). Adam Williams is the lead writter for Detroit as far as I'm aware.

There was an event we attended 2 weeks ago and he told us he writes the game's script himself in French but had the support of an American scriptwriter at the time of the translation into English. The guy (whose name I don't remember, I only remember he was involved in several TV shows) basically just validated Cage's work, so I don't think there's anything ego related here. So Cage is indeed the lead writer, not someone else.

And yet you search Detroit lead writer on Google and every single result says Adam Williams is the lead writer. There's a reason people were willing to give Detroit the benefit of the doubt, it was because cage wasn't as involved in writing it as he had been in all previous games.

That's not to say cage wasn't involved. He obviously is and I never said he wasnt. He just isn't the lead writer this time.

Either way though its kind of irrelevant to the original point droez brought up. He said they should bring in new writers...guess what? They did! They even went as far as giving the lead job to someone else besides cage. For someone so up his own arse that's a pretty big step forward for cage imo. Who knows, maybe he'll give directorial duties to someone else on the future too?

Believe Google if you will. Cage told everyone at the event that he wrote the French script and worked with that guy to adapt it into English. They must have modified a few things to make it better but Cage remains the lead writer on the game.

He'll believe anything that makes him think he's right. It's much easier to claim that Cage is an egocentric lair.
