Dead Rising will be released in two days in the US, so this Webisode 5 could very well be the last one. This new boss character seems a bit nervous. Update: Added the webisode 6, with a not so funny clown.
why does it seem like this mall in particular has SO many pyshcos? When you go to the mall do you usually find bloodthirsty sniping families, insane chainsawweilding clowns, deranged ex-Vietnam soldiers and lunatic storekeepers with shopping carts of death? I know there are zombies but why the hell would that make all these people want to kill living humans?

a) It's a game! :P
b) The mall represents the ideal place to hole up from the zombie masses as it contains huge amounts of food, tools, clothing and of course... WEAPONRY! Not to mention the fact that some of these psychos may have worked at the mall anyway.
well id make it obvious. There are zombies, zombies are evil, people are going crazy, wouldnt it then be safe to say that maybe the mall is cursed or some evil is rising underneath the mall or something. Causing zombies to rise and people to go insane.

Why are normal people trying to kill normal people,.the story is just to bizzare...
because when you fear for your own saftey...people will do anything so that they alone can survive. humans are predatory animals, we hunt in a pack(football violence) and when provoked we will attack our own (drunken violence) (look at wolf packs, loin pride's they kill their own just to stay in charge of the pack)
or as bez said ...just for fun ;)
any ways back on topic, have to wait a fair while longer in the uk till i get my hands on this baby
now...back to the demo
man you guys are so lucky!!! time for us here in europe to diconnect from the internet until 15 sept when we get our copy of the game, the internet will be flooding with reviews and hints and trick for the game in the days to come,
am going to try to avoid that as best as i can, dont wont to read to much and get less experience with the game.

Because its a crisis man! People do crazy things when they are in a crisis. We hear stories of normal people looting, shooting/attacking people to get food and storming over one another to get to aid trucks.
But this isn't the place to discuss this...
Now on the vid:
Oooah... This could turn out to be a much scarier game than i originally thought.
well all the previews say realize the truth about the mall. Uncover the truth etc. Id rather it be some satanic cult causing mankind to go mad or hell rising, than people doing insane things under pressure. Much more dramatic.
George Romero has always maintained that his movies are about the human reactions rather than the horror of the zombies, I'm glad the game seems to be using that aswell.
The human race exists only thanks to extreme prejudice (towards other races, species and even ourselves). Our violent nature is only curbed by a stable, soft society and the fear of law (or god, in the olden days) - or rather the consequence of our actions and the fear of punishment.
Our jails are filled with psychopaths and serial killers, and not all of them will ever kill or commit a severe crime. They just walk among us and breed. Rinse, repeat.
Think of this for instance, why every 12th MALE is red/green colorblind (sees red as green). Serves no purpose? How about no reaction to the sight of blood. The rest of us probably wont faint at the sight of green puddles.

I think that's the shipping date, so stores may receive their batches tomorrow, or the day after... most likely the latter.
your local store will get it tomorrow if they have their distributor's wharehouse in their basement, or across the street... well you get my point. All those dates you see in ebgames and gamestop and gamecrazy and anywhere else are SHIPPING DATES-the day it leaves the wharehouse-which means you will always get it the next day. That applies to 99% of games. Some AAA titles (the Maddens, GTAs, and Halos of the universe) will be shipped some days in advance to let the retailers prepare for the avalanche of ppl that will come and therefore will be available on the dates posted on the websites. Another exception to the rule is movie licensed titles. For some unknown reason those are shipped sometimes weeks in advanced and collect dust in the backrooms of retailers so that 3 ppl would pick up their copies on the posted dates. Go figure.
p.s. I work in one of those retailers. do not make fun of me :P

Uh, that is a pointless statement because you are never directed to kill humans in either Halo 1 or 2. No matter if you are playing the Arbiter or not (unless you do some very skillage things to bypass a trigger that kills a load of marines before you get there).
Plus, the Halo games are about Halo and flood as much as, if not more, than the war against the covenant.
