Let's start with our videos of the Tokyo Games Show 2013, and what best to start with than Deep Down, running at 60 fps? Update: Added a second video filmed with our best camera, at 1080p 60 fps !
Wow...that was...wow. Slow, tedious, claustrophobic, uninspiring, old are just a few words that come to mind after seeing that. Graphically...I need to see more...the level was pretty copy/paste to say the least.
visuals are alright nothing over the top. I think the knight should have carried a sword, the lance thing is just awful. ...not too much you can do with it other than thrust and stab.

I see some borderline trolling, but nothing that would warrant a ban...
Thanks a loot for this blim, exemplary as usual. Any idea how good the IQ is in person? From the trailer released for TGS I think the game has the potential to look very impressive visually, but it needs to have good IQ. This looks clean from off screen, but the trailers come off as a little blurry.
Hmm, not impressed about the current gameplay implementation, even tho the graphics look nice.
When are they planning to release this thing? I'd like to know if they have time to improve the combat and camera enough for me to care about this title...
I watched the stream on ustream for a while and there was a player who really knew how to play. Used magic, scrolls usable items and charged attacks. There's more than just the stabbing. Game looks great so far imo.
In all seriousness: The gameplay has a lot of potential!
It's one of the most realistic combat simulations that I've ever seen. The free third-person stabbing seems to work quite good and ONCE AGAIN is probably one of the closest simulations of real-life spear-combat I ever saw in a video-game.
On top, that armour is fucking hot! Finally something realistic in contrast to those over-stylized plastic-suits.
I will definitely keep an eye out for this game!
Now if only the enemies seemed more appropriate and the environments were less claustrophobic.
I still remember when first Demon's Souls gameplay was shown and everybody thought it looked abysmal (gameplay wise), because nobody had a clue how to play it.
From what I saw this game has more moves than just the light and heavy attack + magic DS had and the ability to target different body parts with the monsters reacting to where they were hit is a good addition to the formula.
Yet this game might end up not as exciting as the Souls games due to the randomly generated and (at least in this demo) very claustrophobic dungeons.. the amazing level design always was an integral part to the fascination of the Souls games.
This game looks like it's going to be a weird combination of things...
A mini map popping up? Really?
Also the fact the bodies hold no weight on the ground like so many games of old is kinda sad.
It does just look like Resident Evil game play as pointed out above. All the same issues abound.
Visuals are all it has going for it right now. Be cool if the damage dealt actually affected enemy models...

Are you going to enforce these rules GS?

Looks really nice visually though. The dynamic lighting is sexy. And you can tell it's running 60fps.
Thrust and stab is what it's for.
And seriously, you couldn't notice when hit it, it was pushed back. That's proper hit detection.
This is an early version.
The person playing wasn't exactly good.

Seriously its slow and just plain boring...like Demon/Dark Souls, guess thats what they are going for :P
