GSY Live PS4

While our full review (French only, but we translated the verdict and the +/- section as usual) has been available since 2:01 pm CET, we remind you a new Gamersyde Live dedicated to The Order: 1886 is planned this evening. Meet us at 8:30 CET, and since you haven't got a full review, we'll try to do a sort of live review of the game. Obviously, you'll be able to ask us questions, whilst discovering the beginning of the adventure. The videos which accompany the afternoon review will show varied edited sequences, so don't miss the livestream!
Update: Both replays are up.

Was blown away by visuals and 5-8 hours a game is my ideal game length too, looking forward to a stream.

It might be an ideal length for some, but that doesn't mean it's worth full price.

I haven't played the Order and probably never will but I completely disagree with the sentiment.

I play a lot of smaller games with high production values like for instance Dear Esther or Vanishing of Ethan Carter more recently. Both come down to about 8 euros per hour of playtime. In my opinion they were worth the money because they were fun games. Most open world games I simply ignore because they lack focus, have uninspiring design and story lines.

In my humble opinion game length as a numerical number should not equate certain amount of currency. For me, one notable moment or an emotional impact it leaves is enough to justify a price. The Last of Us prologue ending made me think: 'I'd pay double just for this moment'. You are not buying a pound of sugar here.

lol. Well I don't think you understood my statement, because I don't disagree.

But game length is still important in helping one determine value; sometimes more than others, as in the case of short games, as they have to hit a bulls-eye with everything else to make the experience worth while.

Does 1886 come with a coupon for a meal and a drink? That would be it's selling point right there.

Reviews are not great but hearing people who have actually played the game, it's safe to say that a lot of the reviewers are getting wrong! People are loving the game.

I just beat the game. I didn't sleep last night. Started playing it at 3am, took an hour to eat at some point, and finished it at 3pm. I was compelled enough to sit through it until I beat it. It was actually a very cool game. All these fucknuts on the internet are idiots or trying to speed run through it. I actually took the time to enjoy the game and explore, look around, enjoy the scenery a bit. Took me 11 hours to beat it.

The anti aliasing is insane. You have to really look for jaggies to see them anywhere, and I played it on a very sharp 600 dollar PC monitor. The whole game looked liked CGI and had a soft film look to it, very realistic. Fuckin beautiful game.

The gameplay reminded me a lot of gears of war, but it's actually smoother and better executed. There was also plenty of gameplay. I can't believe these retards saying it's short on gameplay. It's definitely worth buying, and I probably will when it is eventually on sale even though I've beaten it (my roommate rented it).

The night missions looked amazing. It actually looked like night time, dark as fuck, and fantastic lighting. The rain effects are probably the best I've seen as well. You look up and actually see drops coming down at you, like 3D drops of water, not some streaks. Water actually collected on some objects and dripped off. Probably the most polished game I've seen graphically. It's worth buying.
