Waiting for the GT Sport demo

Waiting for the GT Sport demo

You're probably waiting for the release of the Gran Turismo Sport demo tomorrow, but until then we have a few things to share with you. As you know, PS4 owners have been allowed to preload the demo since yesterday, but they have also been able to launch it to unlock their gift car and to enjoy the rolling demo showcasing some of the tracks at different moments of the day and a good bunch of screenshots taken with the photo mode. We have a few images to show you as well as 6 videos to begin with, with more to come as they finish encoding. Enjoy!
Update: The 20 videos have now been added.

Going to rob that awsesome Porto screengrab. couldn't get it without the loading watermark.

PhonyD have taste for style & mood, unlike others.

Looks better than on any previous videos so we'll see during gameplay tomorrow. Only thing I don't like that there is no dirt on the cars in rally, cars look brand new lol

Game looks ugly as sin, even Enduro on the Atari 2600 had better graphics. :P

Joking aside, the game looks very beautiful. I always liked Gran Turismo, I hope this is a great game.

It looks good but these games bore me to shit. Don't find them fun at all.

Aside from the atrocious culling in the rear view mirrors, it looks pretty incredible. They're still nailing the lighting. Finally getting quite excited about playing it.

Seems like the beta only gives Pro owner 2k mode at this time? 4k mode is non selectible on mine.

The 2k mode is 4k supersampled for 1080p tvs. It says it in the description

The way it shows up in the menu is bit confusing, maybe I'm already in the 4k mode.

Does HDR TV makes noticeable difference ? to me the photomode and replays look very beautiful anyways

GT:S has support for HDR beyond that of current display technology as far as i'm aware, i'm pretty sure it will make a difference.

Hell yeah, lighting and colors look like real life on my ZD9.

Looks incredibly good, but I just don't like GT.

If i'm not mistaken, the game will only support VR in a 1on1 arcade mode due to technical limitations. It's really a shame as from my experience it's hard to go back to tv after racing in VR.

Melmoth i'm just worried how i'm gonna get decent framerate with my gtx980 on a 4k display, my current tv is a 1080p panel, which is a great match (5 Hours ago)
  • jmd749
jmd749 @Melmoth: That's what pissed me off with Samsung and their misleading marketing, giving yokels the impression that QLED and OLED are similar technologies. To be fair it worked for them, Oh mankind!smh (5 Hours ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth some years ago when every new tv was a LED tv, it was still a LCD panel, just with LED backlight, so mostly just for marketing purpose. (6 Hours ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth the similar names (containing the letters LED), and the Q being similar to an O, it's very different technology. (6 Hours ago)
